Why Is Eid Milad-un-Nabi Celebrated?

Followers of Islam consider Milad-un-Nabi to be one of the most important festivals of the year. The last Prophet, Hazrat Muhammad, was born on this very day and he is the center of reverence for Muslims settled all over the world.

In Canada, Mawlid will begin in the evening of October 7 and end in the evening of October 8 in the year 2022.

Muslims all around the world held prayers for the whole night and take our processions to celebrate his birthday. They also read the Holy Quran in mosques and home and are inspired to follow the path of righteousness and humanity as told by the Prophet.

Houses and mosques are decorated in a special way to celebrate his birthday. It is also a day on which people donate a lot to the poor as it is believed that Allah is very pleased when you help the needy and poor people. Charity is a part of their celebration and is considered to be of vital importance in Islam.
